YIPPEE KI AYE!

http://movietriviagame.blogspot.com

If someone asked me to name the first movie that comes to my mind that is the most badass action movie I could think of, I would say Die Hard. I'm a huge fan of the entire series and can watch any of them over and over. So for my little John McClane tribute name the movies that he played these characters in. Some of these are fairly tough so I included the years that the movies were released in.

  1. Butch Coolidge (1994 you aren't a real movie fan if you don't know this one)
  2. John Smith (1996)
  3. Korben Dallas (1997)
  4. David Dunn (2000)
  5. Hartigan (2005)
  6. Jimmy "The Tulip" Tudeski (2000)
  7. Harry S. Stamper (1998)

The Saint

http://movietriviagame.blogspot.com

I like to get older movies every once in awhile and this one came in the mail the other day. Val Kilmer plays a professional thief who needs to do one last job before he can retire. The last job is in Russia where the man who hired him is the head of some oil company ,whith mafia ties, who wants to take control of Russia. The final job involves Kilmer finding a girl (Elisabeth Shue) and stealing her formula for cold fusion power. He ends up falling for her (go figure) and decides to give up the job but the russian mobster won't let him without a fight. All in all not too shabby.
I give it a 5.5/10 which is somewhere in the range of imdb.

Robert Redford to Michael J. Fox

Link these 2 stars together in as few moves as possible. I originally did it in 4 moves. See if you can beat that.

Killer Kwotes

http://movietriviagame.blogspot.com All these quotes come from the horror genre or something close enough to horror for me. ;)

  1. "Good, bad - I'm the guy with the gun!"

  2. "We will tear your soul apart!"

  3. "Your mother ate my Dog." (very gory movie)

  4. "Boy, the next word that comes out of your mouth better be some brilliant f'n Mark Twain sh*t. 'Cause it's definitely getting chiseled on your tombstone."

  5. "Oh, don't worry about my little errand boy. The only thing to fear, is fear himself!

Friday the 13th

For those that don't know me very well I am a huge horror movie fan. They claim this movie to be a remake of the original going by the same name but every self respecting movie fan knows that Jason's mother is the killer in the first and that Jason doesnt even get his trademark hockey mask until part 3. I'm ok with all that because I don't really give a sh*t. I'd go and see any of the Friday or Nightmare movies no matter what they did. Send them up against my little pony and you'll find me sitting in the theater watching and cheering. You know where I'll be come February 13th.

While You Wait

While I'm sitting here waiting for the Eagles/Cardinals game to start I guess I'll make a couple posts on here about a few things. I'll start by adding another 6ix degrees link . Try going Tim Robbins to The Rock. It's possible in 4 or less moves.

A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints

http://movietriviagame.blogspot.com
I've been a little sick lately so I haven't felt like doing much of anything but watch movies and Netflix dropped the ball this week so I was stuck searching the free movies on On Demand. After watching A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints, I'm glad I got the opportunity. I figured this movie couldn't be that bad with some of the big named actors in in like Robert Downey Jr. and Shia Labeouf. It was way better than I thought it would be. It's based on a true story of a kid growing up in the mid 1980's in New York City and having to face some of lifes obstacals before getting out of the city. IMDB gave it a 7.1/10 and I give it a 7.5/10 so we agree for the most part. Definitely worth a look!

Disney Movie Quotes-Requested by Rump

http://movietriviagame.blogspot.com Since I haven't posted any Disney movie quotes yet, on purpose anyway, I got a request for some today so here we go.

  1. "Love, ha! Just a boy and a girl meeting under the right conditions. So, we're arranging the right conditions. "
  2. "Let your heart guide you. It whispers, so listen closely."
  3. "The past can hurt. You can either run from it or learn from it."
  4. "You've heard of the golden rule, haven't you? Whoever has the gold makes the rules!"
  5. "Hm! Teenagers. . . . They think they know everything. You give them an inch, they swim all over you."

I'm pretty sure I couldn't have gotten any of these without cheating other than maybe number 5 just using context clues. ;P

Movie Hitlist-Running Scared (2006)

http://movietriviagame.blogspot.com I'm going to kick off this new section of this blog with this absolutely badass movie. This is deffinately in my top 10 movies of all time right now due to how crazy it gets. It goes from one thing to another and just when you think the sh*t is deep it goes tottaly insane. I'm not a huge fan of Paul Walker by any means but he does his job in this one. There's one part in the middle of the movie that makes your jaw drop to the floor and just go WTF IS GOING ON HERE?!?! If your into gangster movies with some extra darkness and crazyness then check it out.

imdb gives it a 7.6/10.....I give it 8+/10 for sure

Sly Stallone

Sly,movietriviagame.blogspot.com Some people say he can't act for crap but I don't care I can still sit and watch just about any of his movies on any given day. I even think some of his movies are f'n awesome. See if you can put the names with the movies of the characters he's played.

  1. Marion Cobretti
  2. Sheriff Freddy Heflin
  3. John Spartan
  4. Lincoln Hawk
  5. Gabe Walker

I realized after I started going through the names of his movies and the names of the people he played in the movie that most of his "popular" movies use part of or the whole name of the main character that he plays so I kept this list a little shorter. Just because I think this training montage is the best that there is in any movie I'm going to post the video here from Rocky 4.

Hitting Youtube

I'm going to attempt to bring the game to YouTube to see if we can get some more people to play along. If we can build it up a little more then hopefully I can give out prizes once or twice a month or something but I'm not going to break myself trying to do it so cross your fingers. I'll put links to the videos on here if everything goes as planned so wait in see. In the meantime I'll just be doing some more of the usual so keep your fingers crossed.
